Junior Partnership Lead - NN Group

The team ‘Home’ is currently exploring how we can help people with a diverse set of challenges related to their home and its surroundings. Our ultimate goal is to create a home ecosystem where multiple parties jointly create value for customers. To realize our goal, the home team is searching for new services and business models. We’re at the start of this exiting journey. That means that we are in exploration phase: we talk to a lot of customers, try to understand their needs and we will build further on that. We will both create new services ourselves as well as develop them with partners or explore what solutions are already available in the market. For the partnering part, I am looking for a passionate go-getter and skilled networker who wants to explore partnership opportunities for the Home team.

The team

You will work closely together with the other partnership lead from NN. Next to that, you will keep close connections to the two proposition leads and two external entrepreneurs who will organically built new products and services. This part of the team follows the design thinking and lean startup methodology to develop new solutions. Proposition and partnership leads work closely together to establish a common understanding of the customer, the customer problems, potential solutions, the competitive landscape and to decide on make or buy decisions.

Purpose

Support with the development and executing of a partnership strategy for the Home Domain. Initiating partnerships with the purpose to create a home ecosystem. Co-responsible for the complete partnership funnel: from scouting till closing the deal. Coordinating the internal processes required to evaluate and onboard the partner.  Being able to develop propositions with potential partners, run pilots with them and jointly launch products and services in the market.

Main responsibilities
Support with the development and executing of a partnership strategy for the Home Domain. Initiating partnerships with the purpose to create a home ecosystem. Co-responsible for the complete partnership funnel: from scouting till closing the deal. Coordinating the internal processes required to evaluate and onboard the partner.  Being able to develop propositions with potential partners, run pilots with them and jointly launch products and services in the market.

  • Co-responsible for the vision, goals and objectives of Home strategy and ambitions
  • Develop and execute upon the partnership strategy for the Home domain
  • Build and manage the partnership funnel from scouting till signing the partnership
  • Co-create joint propositions with partners if relevant
  • Guide sometimes challenging conversations with a continuous focus on achieving mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Search partners based on request from proposition leads
  • Support make or buy decisions
  • Manage internal stakeholders involved in signing a partnership contract
  • Works closely with the home ecosystem lead, home product owner, proposition leads and other stakeholders within NN’s business lines to initiate strategic partnerships or investments

Profile
The Junior Partnership Lead:

  • Holds a relevant Master’s degree
  • Has a track record in one or more of the following areas: innovation, establishing innovative partnerships or guiding and preparing for strategic investments.
  • Has experience in establishing relationships with external parties or is passionate about gaining this experience
  • Preferably at least 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Preferably knowledge of methodology like design thinking and lean startup development
  • Fluent in English. Dutch and Spanish is a bonus.
