As a B2B2C-player (sales via intermediary, B2B and direct) we have to develop disruptive marketing strategies, to get the buyer’s attention and generate an interest or even hunger for our products and services. Via brand engagement marketing we aim to generate attention and earn trust by answering the questions that they have by sharing interesting and relevant resources, content and inspiration.
Team management: You are a member of NN Group's Brand Marketing management team combining all NN brands and 11 markets. You work closely with the Group CMO and the other teams within the unit to develop and communicate the brand engagement strategy in a relevant and effective way to all stakeholders (customer, society, employees), for all products, services and sponsorships and all markets within NN Group. You align with (senior) management regarding activations, content and events within the organization.
As a manager you are an inspiring, focused and structured lead team. You are a strategic, tactical and operational skilled engagement builder that knows how to reach the hearts and minds of your target audience, think out of the box, but also master the skill of focus, integration and kill your darlings. Within the brand marketing unit, you are the expert and inspiration on brand content development, social media and live engagement and activation. With your team you are co-responsible for contributing to the group's brand related customer targets (brand considerations and NPS-r) and employer targets (e-NPS) by achieving our brand marketing goals (efficiency and effectiveness) for digital and live engagement and community building.
Optimalisation, process and operations: You bring your expertise and experience to bring NN Group's brand engagement to the next level. For this, together with your team and local organizations, you develop and execute the annual brand content strategy and tactics, the annual calendar and brand content and activation campaigns for our Nationale-Nederlanden brand in The Netherlands, as well as develop and execute the annual event strategy and tactics, the annual calendar and events for the Nationale-Nederlanden brand in The Netherlands and NN Group.
You will initiate processes and automation that improve our service and make our marketing efforts more efficient and effective. You work within relevant budgets, ensuring accurate cost allocation and forecasting. You measure the impact and success of the brand engagement efforts; identify customer, employee and sponsoring trends and needs to develop brand engagement plans and optimize our brand engagement strategy in close cooperation with the other teams within the unit. You are known for working data driven and are a trusted advisor when providing advice and guidance to business development and local marketing teams and support functions on brand engagement. You have an outstanding track record on managing key agency relationships around content, activation, sponsorships and events.

You are a seasoned expert in brand content, digital marketing, sponsorships and events. In this role you ensure that our digital content and PR and events (digital or live) become even better so that everyone that NN engages with becomes more involved with our brand. Together with your team of brand content and event experts you develop and create (digital and live) brand content, brand activations and brand events that inform, inspire and activate our target groups. With your excellent strategic thinking, outstanding planning, up-to-date knowledge of and experience in automation and your sense of powerful communication, you ensure that we respond well to the needs of our target groups.
In more detail:
You will be part of NN Group's Brand Marketing unit that consists of sub teams focused on data, research and planning, on brand & marketing communications and brand engagement. The newly formed Brand Marketing unit of NN Group is (co) responsible for the development and maintenance of uniform and strong brand marketing activities ensuring that our brand has a distinct positioning across all markets. You will proactively advise all 11 (inter)national business units of NN Group and provide recommendations to guide and support strategical, tactical, and operational brand, marketing, and communications decisions.
In this role you will report directly to the CMO of NN Group and advise her and the (inter)national teams in your area of expertise so that they can make informed decisions and guide the organisation towards the next level of brand marketing. Together with the CMO and her management team you will form the management team of NN Group's Brand Marketing, bringing vertical expertise and horizontal connection and integrated project management (agile way of thinking).
Your team consists of approximately 8 fte, specialised in brand content (products, services and sponsorships), social media and event management.
